Lemons & Limes

Just a randomly awkward world.
:D

Introduction.

This page is lacking a lot of help for everyone, I'll try to update it often but it's really hard to help someone with something that I'm not very good at teaching. Anyway products and tools of use are posted here for more questions comment in the guestbook.

Books.

Tutorial books are helpful and above all pricey but they're worth every penny if you can find the ones that teach you exactly everything on anime and/or manga and the best ones can be beginners books from America or these two complex teaching guides from real Manga artists in Japan.

Tools.

The main thing to good art is not that it has to be unaffordable but it has to be good in it's value for it's price. I think all the tools that I own were too pricey for their actual quality and Prismas will always cost too much for a pack of 12, honestly I don't see a difference in quality between Crayola and Prisma. If you want a glossy loon to your colored pencils use white ontop of any color.

  • Prisma Colored Pencils
  • Crayola Colored Pencils
  • 2.0 mm Pencil
  • Mechanical Pencil 0.7
  • Eraser
  • Prisma Colored Markers
  • Faber Castle Pens
  • Sketchbook
  • Bamboo Tablet
  • Photoshop Elements 0.5

Tutorials.

Two places for great art tutorials is Sheezyart and Deviantart two huge art communities with a variety of artists, musicians, photographists, and models. Of course it's not always promised that you're going to get what you were looking for. But if anime is your number one want-to-learn thing look up "Anime Tutorials" on the search bar of both Sheezyart and Deviantart.

Advise.

I can't give anyone good advise and this is as much as true but in anime I guess I can, but not much. In any place you're going to get critic and if it's harsh or not you have to make sure that you can take it and use it to make you're artwork three times better. Critics aren't hard to come by for anyone amatuer to advanced everyone is going to get critics and as an artist you should always want one. Um, music is the main thing to creativity and inspiration that's for me of course and sometimes that just doesn't insure that you're art is going to look any better. A huge thing to learning anime and a huge mistake to those who haven't done this is that you should always work on porportions and poses when beginning this is one huge part to drawing people, animals, and scenery. Yes scenery has porportions and it's one thing I'm no good at. Drawing everything and not being limited to one thing helps really. I hope that really does help anyone who may ponder into this section, looking for advise.
